" I really enjoy these sessions. I have tried other surf schools but none of them taught me as much as GCSC. The coach Duke really knows what he's doing. My surfing level has gotten way better, highly recommend "
- Louie K.

" I put my son Eli in a surf lesson and he is now in love with surfing and attends the group surf coaching twice a week. I highly recommend this to any parent who wants their kids to surf safely. " - Jodie L

" I did the private surf lesson for the first time last week and I was blown away at how much I learnt. I am now going twice a week until I can do an air. "
- Jack D.

" I gave up on surfing 2 years ago because I couldn't stand up. I did one group surf lesson and I stood up within 20 minutes. I am now keen to do the surf coaching. Thanks again Duke " - Callum H.

We provide surfboards for our surf lessons. If you are doing coaching you need to bring your own surfboard. We do have surfboards for hire if you do not own one. You will also need YOUR OWN swimwear for either a lesson or coaching session. Please be wary of the conditions.
The lessons are mobile however will most likely be taken in main beach unless the conditions are poor we will meet at the spit. This will be confirmed well and truly before you session
Absolutely. All sessions are run by a qualified Surfing Australia Coach and professional Gold Coast Lifeguard with current First Aid and CPR certifications. Conditions are always checked before every lesson, and safety is the top priority.
We teach all ages of people. If your child can swim a short distance and you are happy for them to do a session we are happy to teach them !

A basic swimming ability is important for surf lessons. For those who aren’t confident swimmers, the Ocean Confidence Program is a great first step to build comfort and safety skills before getting on a board
Each lesson runs for about 90 minutes, including a beach safety briefing, land-based coaching, and in-water time.
Safety comes first — if conditions are unsafe (lightning, strong winds, large surf, etc.), the lesson will be rescheduled or credited for another day.
Yes! You can book a private family session or small group of friends (up to 8 people). It’s a great way to learn together and make memories.
Just bring a towel, sunscreen, water, swimwear, and a positive attitude! If you are doing surf coaching, you need to bring your own board unless it has been discussed with the coach.
